NCR Voyix Signs Sbarro; Clover Hits 5 Million Shipments – Digital Transactions

NCR Voyix Corp. announced early Wednesday it has reached a multi-year deal with Sbarro to provide the pizza chain with its point-of sale-technology, along with Voyix Pay, a payment-processing service. The agreement covers almost 300 corporate-owned and franchise locations in the United States. Sbarro operates more than 800 stores in 27 countries.

The deal includes Aloha Next, POS technology NCR customized for restaurants and launched nearly a year ago. Sbarro is a longstanding client for NCR Voyix.

“Aloha Next brings forward the proven restaurant capabilities Sbarro relies on today while moving them to a modern architecture designed to provide a highly resilient and secure technology foundation,” says Benny Tadele, executive vice president and president for restaurants at NCR Voyix, in a statement.

Voyix Pay links directly with NCR Aloha, a broad-based restaurant platform, and accepts digital wallets as well as cards while handling risk management, according to NCR Voyix. The Atlanta-based company emerged in October 2023 when NCR Corp. split into two companies, NCR Atleos Corp. and NCR Voyix. The former company is a major ATM network operator.

In related news Wednesday, the massive processor Fiserv Inc. announced its Clover point-of-sale technology has passed the 5-million mark in devices shipped globally since Clover emerged in 2013. The milestone also comes less than a year after the device reached 4 million total shipments in 2025.

Having incorporated in 2010, Clover was acquired by First Data Corp. in 2012. Fiserv acquired First Data in 2019 for $22 billion.
