Top 50 Firm Sorren launched a legal services practice called Sorren Law.

Sorren Law, formed with law firm Mansfield & Mayo, will provide legal counsel and services such as business transactions, succession planning, asset protection, estate planning, disputes and other decisions with significant financial and operational implications. It is currently available to serve clients in Nevada, Idaho and Texas, with plans to expand further in the coming year.

The launch follows the trend of accounting firms creating their own legal practices. In February 2025, Big Four firm KPMG launched KPMG Law US. A month later, private equity-funded Top 25 Firm Aprio formed Aprio Legal.

“Clients are often making legal decisions that connect directly to their business, financial, tax, ownership and family goals,” Sorren CEO Josh Tyree said in a statement. “Sorren Law gives clients access to practical legal guidance while staying connected to advisors who understand their broader picture. Our goal is to help clients make clearer decisions, protect what they’ve built and move forward with confidence.”

Sorren, based in Meridian, Idaho, ranked No. 48 on Accounting Today‘s 2026 Top 100 Firms list.  It reported $192 million in revenue, with 101 partners and over 1,100 employees across 24 offices. It is backed by private equity firm DFW Capital Partners and was formed in May 2025 through the combination of 13 firms

The firm has been growing through acquisition. This year, it added Persing Professional Group and Carefree Professional Practice Resources, both in Reno, Nevada, Gorfine, Schiller & Gardyn in Maryland, Hess & Rohmer in Texas, and Connected Accounting in California. Last year, it added Healthworks in Virginia, RTO & Co. in Oregon, and Casey Neilon in Nevada.

“Protecting what clients have built takes more than isolated advice,” said Patrick Mansfield, a partner at Mansfield & Mayo, in a statement. “Whether a client is growing a company, planning for succession, preserving wealth, managing risk or responding to a legal challenge, Sorren Law is designed to provide practical guidance connected to their goals.”

Sorren Law, which is solely owned by lawyers, will operate as a separately constituted and regulated professional corporation providing legal services in accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions it operates from. Sorren Legal Support is a subsidiary of Sorren, and provides administrative, operational and support services to Sorren Law.
