TradingView Launches MCP Server in Public Beta, Connecting Platform to AI Assistants
TradingView has introduced a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, allowing users to connect their TradingView accounts directly to AI assistants such as Claude. The feature, announced in a company blog post on September 16, is now available in public beta to users on Essential-tier plans and above.
The MCP Server acts as a secure bridge between TradingView’s data and platform tools and any MCP-compatible AI client, including Claude’s web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code versions. Once connected, users can ask their AI assistant to pull live quotes and price history, run TradingView’s Screener, analyze fundamentals, news, filings and economic calendars, and manage watchlists and alerts, all within a single conversation.
According to TradingView, setup takes about a minute: users copy a provided link, add it as a custom connector in their AI assistant’s settings, sign in to TradingView to approve access, and then begin querying.
Suggested use cases outlined by the company include compiling full stock briefings combining price action, technical indicators and analyst consensus, screening for stocks against custom criteria and automatically saving results to a watchlist, preparing earnings summaries across a watchlist, extracting specific details from SEC filings and earnings call transcripts, and tracking macroeconomic releases likely to affect currency pairs.
TradingView noted that the beta version is scoped, with a limited tool list, delayed market data, and daily request limits to maintain performance. The company said it is seeking user feedback to guide further development of the feature.
