Wirex One Launched As “Stablecoin Neobank”
Wirex has announced the launch of Wirex One, which is described as a “stablecoin neobank.” The goal is to serve the mass affluent by acting as a private bank. A neobank is typically a digital application that provides services similar to traditional banks, frequently in partnership with other financial services providers.
Wirex offers a banking stack that includes crypto. The company says it is a principal member of both Visa and Mastercard, settling in USDC and EURC without an intermediary bank.
Wirex One is launching on Arc, an open L1 blockchain launched by Arc Network Services LLC.
Arc launched its public mainnet today, September 16, 2026, and Wirex was named a payments/settlement partner before the launch.
The product is a crypto/stablecoin neobank-style app with cards and onchain wallets.
Pavel Matveev, Co-Founder & CEO of Wirex, says that Fintech apps are being built on stablecoin rails because they need the same foundations, including accounts, settlement, and yield.
Wirex’s vision is to build an onchain suite of financial services for consumers and businesses on their stablecoin infrastructure.
Wirex, launched in 2014, reports that it has processed more than $20 billion in transactions across 130 countries.
Wirex One is not available in all countries.
