Aldermore hires Porter as BDM for commercial real estate
Aldermore has appointed Andy Porter as business development manager (BDM) within its commercial real estate (CRE) division.
The bank said his appointment would strengthen its property development proposition and reinforce its commitment to supporting property investors with funding solutions.
He has more than 20 years of experience across property finance, commercial banking and credit risk, including working with property developers and investors to support various projects.
Porter joins from United Trust Bank (UTB), where he was senior director of property development. Prior to this, he worked at Close Brothers for more than 12 years, joining as senior BDM before progressing to business development director.
Porter has also held senior roles at Barclays and RBS, across corporate banking, relationship management and credit risk.
Azfar Rizvi, commercial director for corporate and commercial lending at Aldermore, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Andy to the CRE team. His extensive experience across property development finance, commercial banking and credit risk will be a real asset to our team and, importantly, to the customers and brokers we support.
