Proptech Unicorn EliseAI Launches AI Agent Apollo – Commercial Observer

EliseAI, a leading artificial intelligence company automating housing and health care facilities and one of the first proptech firms to be valued at $1 billion, announced Thursday that it has launched Apollo, its first cross-platform agentic AI tool.

A single AI agent capable of performing any task on the Elise platform, Apollo is designed as a new user interface for leasing agents, executives and others in property operations, according to the company.

“Apollo is native to our platform, so anything you can do on the Elise AI platform, you can do with Apollo,” said Francesca Loftus, chief experience officer at Manhattan-based EliseAI. “It can execute requests as well as give you access to data across the entire system. A leasing agent would be able to say, ‘Send an updated message for everybody who toured yesterday,’ and be able to provide a message that gets sent out automatically through Apollo across everybody who fits those requirements.”

Apollo can also provide next steps based on users’ questions “in plain language, both text and verbal,” Loftus added.

Among Apollo’s functions are knowing a customer’s setup, as it understands every setting, permission and data definition specific to a team’s properties. EliseAI said Apollo acts at scale and has been tested against real operations, having run through thousands of tests covering everyday scenarios, from onboarding a new team member to first leasing inquiries, maintenance emergencies, and renewal conversations. It also inherits each user’s existing permissions, so it sees and does only what that person is already cleared for.

“Every property team already has a dozen dashboards and reports telling them what happened,” Minna Song, co-founder and CEO of EliseAI, said in a statement. “[Apollo] already knows a team’s data, permissions and priorities well enough that people can ask it a question in plain English, get a real answer back, and see something actually happen because of it.”

Customers already using Apollo are seeing its impact, according to the company.

“Apollo is the smartest AI I know,” Kate Scharff, owner of developer First Montgomery Group, said in a statement. “It’s amazing at pulling the data we’re looking for, asking questions on settings, how to generate potential revenue, and all other aspects of what we may be missing.”

Since its founding in 2017, EliseAI has added multiple offices across the U.S. and Canada, including recently opened ones in Austin and Toronto. The company also has offices in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and recently moved into 401 Fifth Avenue, the Tiffany & Company Building in New York’s Midtown.

EliseAI is reportedly in talks to raise $300 million at a $3.7 billion valuation, with Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners in discussions to lead the round. In August 2024, Elise raised a $75 million Series D round, bringing its valuation to more than $1 billion and making the proptech startup a rare New York City unicorn.
