Stroemer specializes in accounting, audit and tax services for condominium and homeowners’ associations, their boards and community association managers. (Florida has an estimated 50,6000 community associations, second only to California.) The deal with Stroemer adds eight partners, plus its team, to CRI and establishes offices in Fort Myers and Pembroke Pines. Founding partner John Stroemer will join CRI as partner-in-charge, leading CRI’s Fort Myers market.

“Florida’s reforms have raised the stakes for association boards, and they need advisors who know this work well,” Bill Carr, chairman and executive director of corporate M&A at CRI, said in a statement. “Stroemer & Company has built a respected practice serving those associations, and their work fits naturally alongside CRI’s community association practice across Florida. We’re proud to welcome John and his team to CRI.”

CRI, based in Enterprise, Alabama, ranked No. 23 on Accounting Today‘s 2026 Top 100 Firms list. It reported $601 million in revenue, with 483 partners and over 2,700 employees across 41 offices. In 2024, it took an investment from Centerbridge Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, and has made numerous acquisitions since.

“Our firm has spent more than 20 years working alongside association boards and managers, from developer turnover through the long-term financial health of their communities,” Stroemer said in a statement. “Joining CRI gives our clients a deeper bench and a broader range of services, while they continue working with the people they know. We chose CRI because they share our commitment to personal, responsive service, and we’re excited about what this means for our clients and our team.”

CRI most recently acquired Crowl, Cameron & Associates in Texas in June. In March, it added CFO Hub, expanding its reach into California and strengthening its presence in New York, Austin and Washington, D.C. In 2025, it added Williams Steinert Mask, entering the San Antonio market, as well as Regional Leader CapinCrouse in Indianapolis.
