Basware Acquires Fraud Fighter TrustPair and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/5/26 – Digital Transactions
- Invoice-management platform Basware has closed on its acquisition of Trustpair, a fraud-prevention technology provider focused on payments. Terms were not disclosed. The deal was announced in late August.
- The digital-asset trading platform XT Exchange launched a scan-to-pay capability for its XT Pay service, allowing XT app users to make purchases funded by the USDT stablecoin at participating merchants.
- As 82% of U.S. shoppers are setting a budget for holiday shopping, they are looking to gift cards to play a role in sticking to the plan, with 93% of shoppers planning to buy the cards. Among shoppers without a budget, 78% plan to use gift cards. The findings are part of Blackhawk Network’s BHN 2026 Holiday Branded Pay Study, for which research took place July 23 to July 28 among 2,307 U.S. adults age 18 and up who had bought gifts in the past 12 months and planned to shop in the 2026 holiday season.
- Visa Inc. announced new promotional partnerships with seven National Football League teams and partnership renewals with four teams, to go with current deals with the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens.
