Osaic’s CW Advisors Announces 3 of 8 Planned Acquisitions in 2026

CW Advisors, a Boston, Mass.-based registered investment advisor owned by independent broker/dealer Osaic, has acquired three registered investment advisors overseeing a combined $1.6 billion in assets under management, putting it “on track” to acquire eight firms in 2026, according to a spokesperson.

The firm announced it acquired Yosemite Capital Management, Threadgill Financial and Peddock Capital Advisors, with the Peddock transaction also including tax practice Peddock Tax Services, LLC.

The moves add to an active year for CWA with backing from Osaic and its majority owner, the private equity firm Reverence Capital Partners.

Now at $19.7 billion in AUM, CW Advisors accounts for only a small portion of Osaic’s $810 billion in assets under management and advisement. But the moves reflect CEO Jamie Price’s thesis that an IBD can run a successful fee-only channel to both attract external advisors and keep internal ones seeking to shed commission-based business.

CEO Scott Dell-Orfano was acquiring before selling the firm to Osaic—at the time it managed $13.5 billion in assets.

These three new teams add five offices across California, Massachusetts and CWA’s first Texas locations in The Woodlands and League City. Following the deals, CWA operates 30 offices nationwide and oversees more than $19.7 billion in assets under management.

Gladstone Associates represented Peddock in its move; Boardwalk Financial Partners advised Yosemite and Threadgill.

Reverence, for its part, closed on a recapitalization of Osaic this year that raised more than $2 billion in capital, including from new investor Bain Capital.
