Atom expands commercial BDM team with two appointments
Atom Bank has hired Jayne McCann and Sean Thorn as commercial business development managers (BDMs).
McCann joins from Coventry Building Society and will focus on developing and strengthening relationships with brokers across her region.
Thorn brings experience in both business development and commercial broking, having spent more than a decade at Aldermore Bank as well as running his own commercial finance brokerage.
Both McCann and Thorn will support Neil Findlay, senior commercial BDM at Atom Bank, covering the London and South region.
David Castling, head of intermediary distribution at Atom Bank, said he was “thrilled” by the new appointments: “By investing in our commercial BDMs, we are making it easier for brokers to work with Atom, not only spreading the word about our proposition but also providing experienced contacts for brokers to work on deals and talk through issues with.”
McCann added: “Atom Bank’s BDM team is renowned across the industry for the level of service it provides, and I’m excited to have a chance to be part of it. I’m really looking forward to getting started, meeting all of the brokers across my region and helping them to support their commercial clients.”

Thorn said: “Relationships are absolutely crucial in commercial lending – brokers need contacts they can rely on to talk through the nitty gritty of individual cases, to try to find a way through to a successful application for their client. I’ve seen that from both sides, as both a BDM and a broker, and I will bring that experience to support brokers across the South of England.”
