Newton Fallowell Peterborough sold to sole director

Newton Fallowell Peterborough has changed ownership after existing director Kieran Arthur completed the purchase of the business from co-founder Jason Treadwell.

Arthur co-founded the office with Treadwell in April 2022 and has been central to its operations since launch. The business has grown from a single-person operation to an established sales and lettings team over the past four and a half years.

Treadwell will continue to operate his other offices across the Newton Fallowell network.

Career progression

The acquisition represents a career milestone for Arthur, who began working in property as a trainee sales negotiator in 2015.

“Taking sole ownership gives me great pride. It represents the growth of the office to a point where this opportunity has become possible, as well as my own personal growth, from trainee sales negotiator in 2015 to Managing Director in 2026,” Arthur said.

Ellie Hall, Group Managing Director of Newton Fallowell, said Arthur had played a pivotal role in developing the business, building a team and establishing a client-focused reputation.

Business strategy

Arthur stated no immediate operational changes are planned, with the focus on maintaining service levels for existing clients whilst pursuing expansion.

“My key priority is continued growth, while maintaining the quality of service we provide to every client,” he said. “Over the last four and a half years, the office has grown substantially, and I have no desire for that growth to end.”

The agency’s service model includes zero-week contracts for property sellers and no notice period requirements to terminate agreements.

The Peterborough office plans to continue team development and expand its market presence across the city. Arthur noted that building the team has been a central aspect of the business development since its inception.

The transaction follows a period of consolidation across the estate agency sector, as businesses adapt to changing market conditions and shifting client demands in both sales and lettings markets.
