“This acquisition reflects our commitment to strategic growth through partnerships with firms that share our values, culture and client-first mindset,” said Cherry Bekaert CEO Michelle Thompson, in a statement. “Sansiveri has built an outstanding reputation based on trusted relationships and exceptional service. Together, we are strengthening our position in New England, expanding opportunities for our people, and enhancing our ability to deliver the industry-focused solutions and advisory capabilities our clients need to succeed.”

“Joining Cherry Bekaert creates exciting opportunities for our clients and our people,” said Sansiveri managing partner Jason DaPonte, in a statement. “We were seeking a partner that shares our commitment to relationships, service excellence and client success. Cherry Bekaert’s culture, values and vision for growth align closely with our own, making this a natural fit. Together, we will be able to provide broader resources and capabilities while preserving the client experience and culture that have always been central to who we are.”

Cherry Bekaert took a private equity investment from Parthenon Capital in 2022 and adopted an alternative practice structure. In keeping with that structure, Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC will acquire Sansiveri’s nonattest assets, while Cherry Bekaert LLP will acquire Sansiveri’s attest assets.

The firm ranked No. 17 on Accounting Today’s ranking of the Top 100 Firms, with $764 million in revenue, over 200 partners, 58 offices and over 3,000 staff.

Since partnering with Parthenon, Cherry Bekaert has completed over a dozen deals. Most recently, it merged in Calvetti Ferguson in the Southwest in June, and before that it added Tarsus in Washington, D.C. Last year, it acquired Regional Leader Herbein + Co. in Reading, Pennsylvania; Jameson in Bedford, Massachusetts; and Spicer Jeffries in Denver. In 2024, it acquired DeBlanc, Murphy & Murphy in Waldorf, Maryland; Katz Nannis + Solomon in the Boston area; Microsoft reseller ArcherPoint; and accounting software and cloud services firm Kerr Consulting.
