Finally adds 100 employees in the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Puerto Rico, New York, Miami and Boca Raton, Florida to Inkle. The deal gives Inkle 24-hour global coverage across its teams in the Americas and Asia, and deepens its expertise in the non-tech segment of U.S. small businesses, such as owner-operators, professional services firms, contractors, clinics and restaurants.
Inkle builds its software and general ledger inhouse and uses frontier AI across bookkeeping, tax and compliance work. The firm now serves clients on multiple general ledgers, including Quickbooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, Mercury Books and its own Inkle Books. Inkle reached profitability on a $1.5 million pre-seed funding raise.
The deal was structured as an asset purchase and is an all-cash transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Ranvir and I are delighted to announce Inkle’s first strategic acquisition,” Anand Krishna, co-founder and CEO of Inkle, said in a statement. “Finally’s team built a great bookkeeping business serving thousands of U.S. companies, and we’re proud to welcome them to Inkle. We’re building the Al-powered Big Four: a CPA firm where frontier Al and experienced professionals deliver the outcome, not just the software. Small businesses don’t want another subscription. They want their books, taxes and compliance done right, on whatever platform they already use. We’ve reached profitability on a $1.5 million pre-seed round because we run Inkle with the same financial discipline we help our customers build. We’re here for the long run.”
