BetaNXT Adds Pave Portfolio Tech for Advisors
During the first day of Schwab’s annual Impact Conference in Boston, the wealth management technology provider BetaNXT announced a strategic partnership with Pave Finance, purveyor of a sophisticated portfolio management platform, making the latter firm’s software available to its clients.
Through the partnership, BetaNXT will expand its reach among financial advisors and registered investment advisors while enhancing its wealth management suite with capabilities in portfolio construction, personalization and optimization. The collaboration combines BetaNXT’s scale and market presence with Pave’s portfolio management and optimization technology, according to the companies.
“Portfolio planning is increasingly important as advisors look to provide more customized investment solutions while operating efficiently and at scale,” said Tim Rutka, president of trading and settlement at BetaNXT. “Our partnership with Pave expands the offerings available to our clients, giving them access to sophisticated technology that can help advisors seamlessly address investors’ individual needs.”
Pave’s technology enables wealth management firms to construct portfolios around client goals, risk parameters, tax considerations, existing holdings, investment restrictions and preferences.
“BetaNXT’s extensive presence across the wealth management ecosystem creates an exciting opportunity to bring Pave’s portfolio management software to more firms and advisors—strengthening their optimization, personalization, transition management and tax-aware portfolio management capabilities across their client rosters,” said Edward Tedeschi, head of strategic partnerships at Pave. “Together, we can help firms deliver highly personalized portfolios while giving advisors a platform that makes sophisticated portfolio management more scalable.”
The partnership is part of BetaNXT’s strategy to provide wealth management firms with an integrated ecosystem of technology and solutions spanning the investment and client lifecycle, according to the company.
Pave Finance was founded in 2021. Its business units include Pave Labs, which provides the Pave Pro portfolio management software platform; Pave Securities, a fully disclosed introducing broker/dealer; and Pave Investment Advisors, an SEC-registered investment advisor.
In September, Pave announced it had raised more than $15 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round.
In April, BetaNXT simultaneously announced the launch of two new endeavors: InsightX, an enterprise AI platform, and an AI Innovation Lab, the latter intended to expedite the development and integration of AI technology; both are intended for use by wealth and asset management firms.
In February 2025, BetaNXT rolled out its DataXChange platform, meant to help wealth management firms struggling with data integration and consolidation.
BetaNXT is a combination of Mediant Communications’ technology and three legacy platforms acquired by Clearlake Capital and Motive Partners in early 2022 from Refinitiv for $1.1 billion.
