Truist Names New Wealth Co-Heads
Truist Financial has appointed Jeff Dunn and Bryan Cram as co-heads of its wealth division on an interim basis, succeeding Brian Dowhower, who will step down from the role later this year.
Dunn is head of Truist Private Banking, specialty wealth and institutional, while Cram serves as head of Truist Wealth Brokerage. The two will report to Kristin Lesher, chief wholesale banking officer.
In July, Truist hired Shimna Sameer, a former head of products, solutions and platforms at Bank of America Private Bank, to serve as head of wealth. But the company announced this week that Sameer would become chief consumer banking officer.
“Coming off another strong quarter, our results reflect the talent and dedication across Truist Wealth,” Dowhower said in a LinkedIn post. “Jeff and Bryan have played an important role in that success through their strategic perspective, extensive experience of the business and strong commitment to our clients and teammates.”
In September, Truist installed a new president and CEO, Michael Lyons, who succeeded Bill Rogers, who became executive chair as part of a planned succession strategy. Lyons is the former CEO of Fiserv, a global fintech and payments company.
Truist’s registered investment advisor had about $77 billion in total assets under management as of December 2025, according to a filing.
