MAB appoints Edington to refine homebuying process
Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has appointed Ellie Edington as its lending support manager to deepen its relationships with lenders and improve the homebuying journey.
She joins from Westmarq, where she was a lender relationship manager. Prior to this, Edington was at L&G for seven years, working across several roles, most recently as a lender account executive, supporting lender partners across L&G Mortgage Club and L&G Surveying Services.
At MAB, Edington will lead the development and delivery of the firm’s lending proposition, working with stakeholders to improve the mortgage and property valuation process.
Rachel Geddes, strategic lender relationship director at Mortgage Advice Bureau, said the firm was excited to welcome Edington to the team as it focused on strategic partnerships and growing the team to transform the homebuying journey.
Geddes said Edington brought a “distinct set of skills from her years at L&G Surveying Services”, including her understanding of the survey and valuation process, which would help MAB “tackle the bigger challenges and projects” as part of its work to reduce fall-throughs across the market.
“Our key ambition is for MAB to be the go-to partner for lenders, and to keep showing how we can drive the market forward. We wanted to be the first distributor with a large, committed lending team to support that, and Ellie’s appointment is a major step towards achieving this,” Geddes added.

Edington said she was delighted to be joining MAB at a pivotal time, adding: “Over the years, I’ve worked closely with lenders on their valuation propositions, supporting them as they grow and adapt to change.
“I’m looking forward to using that experience to collaborate with MAB’s lender partners, drive innovation, and deliver a simpler, faster, and more transparent homebuying journey for customers.”
