J&K Bank FD Rates Revised for Senior Citizens, Super Seniors: Check Latest Fixed Deposit Interest Rates
News
Jammu & Kashmir Bank (J&K) has updated interest rates on its fixed deposits, with senior citizens now eligible for returns of up to 7.25% per annum on select maturities. Depositors aged 80 years and above can earn a maximum of 7.50%, making the bank’s longer-tenure deposits worth reviewing for those looking for relatively predictable returns. The revised rates came into effect on October 8, 2026, and apply to callable domestic term deposits below Rs 3 crore.
J&K Bank Revises FD Rates: Senior Citizens Can Earn 7.25%, Super Seniors Get Up To 7.50%
The revision is not a uniform increase across all deposit periods. While some tenures offer higher returns, rates differ according to the length of the deposit, with short-term options generally paying less than medium- and long-term deposits. Senior citizens planning to renew an existing FD or invest fresh savings should compare the rates available for their preferred maturity before locking in their money.

J&K Bank FD Rates For Senior Citizens
For customers aged 60 years and above, J&K Bank is offering its highest interest rate of 7.25% on deposits of 888 days and those with maturities ranging from five years to 10 years. Several other medium- and long-term deposits carry rates of 7.20%, including the two-year-to-887-day period, deposits from 889 days to less than three years, and those maturing between three and five years.
Deposits with shorter maturities offer comparatively lower returns. The rate starts at 4.00% for seven-day to 30-day deposits and rises to 6.50% for deposits of 271 days to less than one year. Customers choosing deposits with maturities of one year or longer can access rates above 7%, depending on the selected tenure.
The revised rates for senior citizens are as follows:
7 days to 30 days: 4.00%
31 days to 45 days: 4.25%
46 days to 90 days: 5.50%
91 days to 180 days: 6.00%
181 days to 270 days: 6.40%
271 days to less than one year: 6.50%
1 year to less than 18 months: 7.05%
18 months to less than 2 years: 7.15%
2 years to 887 days: 7.20%
888 days: 7.25%
889 days to less than 3 years: 7.20%
3 years to less than 5 years: 7.20%
5 years to 10 years: 7.25%
For retirees who do not need immediate access to their savings, the one-year-plus deposit categories may offer a higher rate than short-term options. However, the right tenure will depend on when the money may be needed, since premature withdrawals can be subject to applicable bank conditions and penalties.
J&K Bank FD Rates For Super Senior Citizens
J&K Bank offers a higher rate structure for super senior citizens aged 80 years and above. This category can earn up to 7.50% per annum on deposits of 888 days and those maturing between five years and 10 years. The additional benefit means eligible depositors can earn more than customers in the regular senior citizen category on comparable tenures.
Rates for super senior citizens also rise as the deposit period increases. Deposits of seven to 30 days earn 4.25%, while those maturing between 31 and 45 days earn 4.50%. The rate reaches 6.75% for deposits of 271 days to less than one year and crosses 7% for tenures starting at one year.
The bank’s revised super senior citizen FD rates are:
7 days to 30 days: 4.25%
31 days to 45 days: 4.50%
46 days to 90 days: 5.75%
91 days to 180 days: 6.25%
181 days to 270 days: 6.65%
271 days to less than one year: 6.75%
1 year to less than 18 months: 7.30%
18 months to less than 2 years: 7.40%
2 years to 887 days: 7.45%
888 days: 7.50%
889 days to less than 3 years: 7.45%
3 years to less than 5 years: 7.45%
5 years to 10 years: 7.50%
Super senior citizens considering an FD should compare the additional interest available on longer maturities against their need for liquidity. A higher rate may improve returns, but locking away savings for several years may not suit those who expect regular medical or household expenses.
