Student landlords and letting agents are being urged to prepare for the practical impact of the Renters’ Rights Act before committing to their 2027 lettings.

B-Informed is holding The Future of Student Lettings Conference in London on 21st October, looking at some of the key decisions now facing the student sector.

These include whether to continue with joint tenancies or move to room-by-room letting, what happens when one student gives notice but the others want to remain, and how landlords should approach Ground 4A when signing up next year’s students.

The conference will also consider the new restrictions on rent in advance and the options available where an overseas student does not have a UK guarantor.

Peter Littlewood of B-Informed said: “Student landlords now have some important decisions to make before the 2027 letting cycle. The conference is about looking at the practical choices and their consequences, rather than simply going over the legislation.”

Speakers include Robin Stewart of Anthony Gold Solicitors, Nick Lyons of No Letting Go and Gurman Bains of Reposit.

The conference takes place at the Civil Service Club, Great Scotland Yard, London. Tickets are £49.95 including lunch and refreshments, with 5 LLAS CPD points available.

Property118 readers can receive 10% off using code P11810 when booking.
