Julius Baer names two new board nominees

Julius Baer Group plans to nominate Caroline Kuhnert and Elaine Arden for election to its board of directors at the company’s 2027 annual general meeting (AGM).
Kuhnert spent 20 years in wealth management at UBS.

Her final position was on the global wealth management executive committee in Zurich, where she oversaw onshore and offshore operations across Europe, Switzerland, Emerging Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia.
She also headed the ultra-high net worth and global family office business in EMEA.
Her experience includes cross-border risk management and restructuring, as well as board roles in financial services.
Arden previously served as a group human resources director at RBS and HSBC.
At RBS, she worked with the chief executive during the restructuring of the international group, which employed around 120,000 people in 30 countries.
At HSBC, Arden supported organisational changes and the group’s shift.
The company had approximately 220,000 employees across 64 countries. She worked with three Group CEOs before retiring last year.
Julius Baer will provide further information on the board and committee structure in the AGM circular, which is due to be published in March 2027.
The AGM is scheduled to take place in April 2027.

We have identified two exceptional, experienced directors, who will add tremendous value to the Board.”
In July, Julius Baer Group named Peter Burrill as chief financial officer (CFO) and executive board member, replacing Evie Kostakis.
