Edelman Financial Engines Names Chief Retirement Officer

Edelman Financial Engines, the registered investment advisor and 401(k) managed account provider with over $336 billion in assets, has appointed Tina Wilson as its chief retirement officer, overseeing the firm’s workplace, retirement plan services and employee planning businesses.

The firm serves nearly 600 of the nation’s largest employers and more than 10 million retirement plan participants.

“By bringing these capabilities together under Tina’s leadership, we are positioning Edelman Financial Engines to serve more workplace savers, innovate faster, and create lifelong advice relationships that extend well beyond retirement planning,” said Ralph Haberli, CEO and president of Edelman Financial Engines.

The firm also announced Kurt Fauerbach, senior vice president and head of workplace, will retire after 18 years. Fauerbach will serve in an advisory capacity through early 2027 to support a transition.

This follows news last month that EFE hired Christian Mango, a former senior vice president of corporate development at OneDigital, as senior vice president and retirement advisory practice lead. In the newly created role, Mango will work to strengthen the ties between Edelman’s workplace retirement benefits business and financial planning, participant engagement and personalized wealth advice.

The firm recently launched an integrated retirement solution for small and mid-sized businesses and their employees.
