Handelsbanken appoints Richards as MD in renewed focus on intermediary market
Handelsbanken has appointed Jon Richards as managing director of intermediary business as part of its strategy to continue its focus on the intermediary market.
He has 40 years of experience in financial services, including various senior leadership roles. Richards has worked for Handelsbanken for around 18 years in roles including head of finance and deputy chief branch officer.
Handelsbanken is a relationship-led bank, with relationship managers providing a tailored service to its customers.
Richards said: I’m delighted to be taking on this role at such an exciting time for our intermediary business. As a relationship bank, brokers play a vital role in helping us to build strong, lasting relationships with customers.
“We’ve already achieved a great deal, improving processes and our offering so brokers can work with us easily. We have big plans for the future, and I’m looking forward to seeing them come to life alongside a great team.”
