What’s in My Wealthstack: Allworth Financial

More than a decade ago, we chose to modernize and unify our IT infrastructure and build a team of internal and external resources to support the technology strategy. Today, we operate a 100% cloud-based, integrated technology stack with a unified data structure covering the full client lifecycle, from client acquisition through ongoing advisory services. We made the strategic decision to own and manage our data internally, and we’ve invested continuously in our team of data architects, data governance specialists and data scientists. This has positioned us well to leverage artificial intelligence technologies.

We deploy best-of-breed commercial applications and are upgrading to AI-native solutions where appropriate. We generally rely on our internal engineering and data teams to integrate applications and curate canonicalized data in our proprietary data lakes and analytics platforms.

Where commercially available software applications do not meet our business needs, we will develop tools as needed. New AI code-generation tools have helped simplify software development and shorten development cycles. We’re able to leverage a mix of internal and external development resources, particularly for targeted point solutions such as “new client proposals” and “advisor next-best-action suggestions” to help advisors with prioritization and organization.

Our overarching strategy is to leverage technology to amplify our advisors’ ability to deliver personalized wealth management services, create an exceptional client experience, and drive operating efficiency. More recently, we’ve been building our AI capabilities and deploying AI solutions where we see opportunities to improve.

We believe that AI presents a generational transformation opportunity, and we’re investing appropriately to deliver more personalized wealth management services to our clients and automate operational tasks across the business. Cybersecurity will be an ongoing effort to strengthen our security profile, and we will continue to invest in technology tools and training to protect our confidential information. Going forward, we’ll continue investing in AI tools, operational and client data enhancements, MCP (Model Context Protocol) expansion and transformation talent.

Document Management: Docupace and Egnyte

They both have strong digital workflow capabilities that have streamlined account opening, maintenance and document management, reduced manual handoffs, and made process status easier to track. We also value its configurable workflows and auditability—both are essential to improving efficiency while maintaining strong operational control and compliance. Both integrate well with our technology stack and data warehouse infrastructure. Egnyte also has strong AI-powered document handling capabilities.

Primary/Secondary Custodians: Schwab and Fidelity

Both provide a trusted custody option for our clients and provide strong support for our advisory and operational teams. Both provide educational opportunities for our associates at various levels of the organization. We are continuing to improve our technology integration with both partners, leveraging APIs for digital onboarding and straight-through processing. Both provide strong support for our new partner firm integrations. Bond ladder-building capabilities are strong at Fidelity, and we leverage Schwab’s online investment research tools.

AI Services: Jump, Hadrius, Regal, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude and Claude Code (Anthropic), StackAI and ThoughtSpot

Jump provides meeting automation and is designed specifically for the wealth management industry. The automated meeting summaries and follow-up action items have significantly reduced meeting preparation and wrap-up times. Jump also integrates well with our CRM and automates service-related task assignments. We’re capturing client interactions more consistently with higher-quality data, which helps us better serve our clients.

Hadrius consolidated multiple compliance functions and related tools into a single tool with automated AI-enabled monitoring. It saves compliance resources time by automating several compliance functions, including marketing reviews, communication supervision, and account monitoring.

Regal is our omnichannel contact management platform featuring automated lead routing, call recording and coaching insights, AI-powered voice and phone agents, branded caller ID, and multichannel outreach capabilities. Those features have helped improve new-client conversation rates and reduced cycle times.

We leverage the power of the Anthropic ecosystem and have deployed enterprise versions of ChatGPT and Claude to the entire organization. Common use cases include communication, research, and prioritization. We’re leveraging Claude Code to help build custom software applications, including custom proposal generation, API build-outs, systems integration, and custom information security bots.

StackAI enables us to build no-code AI workflows connecting various systems in a scalable and secure manner. This has significantly reduced the time to develop internal software solutions.

We use ThoughtSpot to support our end-to-end operational business analytics as a governed single-source of truth. This application leverages data in our data lakes to provide real-time access and analysis of our operational data, including new client leads and opportunities; account-level asset flows and balances, which can be rolled up at the household, advisor, and company levels; and client engagement and service metrics.

Direct Indexing and/or Tax-loss harvesting services: Aperio and 55ip

Aperio has deep direct-indexing expertise, and we leverage their solutions for tax-efficient direct-indexing and for their charitable giving optimization.

We like JPMorgan’s [55ip] smart tax investment portfolio transition, which is powered by technology that allows investors to input an annual tax budget for funding with a concentrated position. They have flexible funding options, including cash, stocks, ETFs, or mutual funds.

Other Tools / Not Listed: Hubspot

Hubspot provides scalable lead management functionality and integration with our external business partners and internal applications. Data is easily accessible, and recent AI-infused functionality around lead scoring and personalization have aided in effective lead management.
