Triodos appoints Wilson as senior relationship manager
Triodos Bank UK has appointed Steve Wilson as senior relationship manager as it expands its sustainable property lending team.
Wilson (pictured) has more than 40 years’ experience in property development finance, having previously held roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, BLG Development Finance and MSP Capital. His background includes SME and mid-corporate relationship banking.
In his new role, Wilson will work alongside senior relationship manager Suraj Lakhanpal, supporting residential and commercial real estate projects.
The team assesses lending proposals for new-build developments targeting BREEAM Excellent or higher standards or Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) A ratings, as well as retrofit projects involving the redevelopment of existing buildings.
Wilson said the role would allow him to combine his experience in property finance with his interest in organisations focused on social and environmental outcomes.
Simon Crichton, who leads the bank’s sustainable property team, said: “From the homes we live in to the places we work and the community facilities we rely on, our built environment has a strong impact on both climate resilience and our wellbeing.
