GCEX Appoints Robin Ejsmond-Frey as Director of Institutional Sales – Asset Management | LeapRate

GCEX said Tuesday that it has appointed Robin Ejsmond-Frey to the newly created role of Director of Institutional Sales – Asset Management, as the firm looks to expand its institutional wealth management offering.

Based between London and Dubai, Ejsmond-Frey will take on a global remit, working with hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and qualified institutional investors looking to access digital assets through a regulated group.

His responsibilities will include GCEX’s proprietary digital asset portfolio solutions and wealth-as-a-service offering, as well as technology-driven fund management tools currently in development.

Ejsmond-Frey brings experience across both digital assets and institutional finance. He joins GCEX from Portal to Bitcoin Exchange, where he served as Head of Business Development, and previously held the role of Senior Business Development Manager at Parity Technologies.

He started his financial services career at Marex in London, spending four years as a Senior Crude Options and Swaps Broker.

Lars Holst, Founder and CEO of GCEX, said the company sees strong growth potential in wealth management across the Middle East, the EU and the UK, building on the crypto wealth management products gained through its acquisition of GlobalBlock.

He noted that Ejsmond-Frey’s combination of institutional markets experience, digital asset knowledge and established network, particularly in Dubai, makes him well suited to the role.

Ejsmond-Frey said he was drawn to GCEX’s reputation as a regulated firm bridging traditional finance and crypto, and looks forward to serving institutional and high-net-worth clients while building long-term relationships to grow the company’s wealth management business globally.
