EKF Profit Narrows To £3 Mln In H1; Plans Re-brand Of Contract Manufacturing Business
(RTTNews) – EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc (EKF.L), a diagnostics company, released on Tuesday interim financial results for the six months ending June 30, 2026. Profit for the half-year period decreased mildly as sales showed consistent growth.
The company provides various devices for use at point-of-care facilities in analyzing blood sugar or hemoglobin levels, in addition to diagnostic enzymes and tests for immune, infectious, and oncological diseases.
H1 Financial Highlights:
EKF’s profit before income tax narrowed to £3.42 million in the first half of 2026, slightly lower than the £3.63 million reported in the same period of 2025.
Revenues reached £25.03 million, a mild decrease from the £25.24 million recorded in the previous year.
Sales of the company’s Beta-HB LiquiColour reagent grew by 4%, while gains on contract manufacturing rose by 25%.
Profit for the period was £2.48 million or £0.54 per share, higher than the £2.10 million or £0.43 per share reported a year ago.
EBITDA resulted in a gain of £5.92 million, compared to £5.77 million in 2025.
Cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026, amounted to £15.97 million.
Outlook:
The company mentioned a long-term outlook, with revenues anticipated to be over £80 million by 2029, supporting an estimated EBITDA gain of £20 million.
Business Updates:
As part of a new strategy, the company plans to spin off its Contract Manufacturing business under a new brand name, Nexus Bioworks.
The Hemo Control portion of consumable sales shows potential for extended manufacturing, planned for implementation in 2027.
