NSCC issues record $27.6bn margin call in Q2
The National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) issued its largest aggregate initial margin call in 11 years of reporting during the second quarter, at $29.1 billion.
The maximum single-day call was 76.4% higher compared with three months earlier and well above the previous record of $17.2 billion, set in Q4 2020.
Required IM also surged, reaching an all-time high of $27.6 billion at quarter
