Gold Rate Today Falls After Two-Day Rally; Silver Holds Steady

Despite Saturday’s fall, 24K gold had gained Rs 46,400 per 100 grams over the previous two days. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 250 per gram, or Rs 2,50,000 per kilogram.

Gold prices were also under pressure globally and were headed for a weekly decline after stronger-than-expected US jobs data boosted expectations that the Federal Reserve could raise interest rates as soon as this month. Higher interest-rate expectations have weighed on non-yielding bullion, reducing its appeal among investors.
