CBLR overhaul opens door to 348 more banks

Only 60 community banks still excluded from opting into leverage ratio-only requirements
US banking regulators’ reforms to the community bank leverage ratio (CBLR) would have made an additional 348 banks eligible to opt into the framework based on their June 30 balance sheets, Risk Quantum analysis shows.
Under the previous rules, 408 community banks were excluded from opting in. The framework exempts qualifying banks with less than $10 billion in assets from calculating and reporting
