Allowance against higher-risk property loans tops €1bn for the first time
Deutsche Bank’s provisions for non-performing loans rose €62 million ($71 million) in Q2 2026 to a record €562 million, driven primarily by its commercial real estate (CRE) portfolio. The allowance against a higher-risk portion of that portfolio also climbed above €1 billion for the first time.
In contrast to the €62 million increase in Stage 3 provisions, the lender recorded releases of €64
