Nasdaq Verafin Adds Q6 Cyber’s Dark Web Intel to Fraud Platf…
Nasdaq Verafin and Q6 Cyber have partnered to help financial institutions identify and respond to emerging fraud and scan threats, Nasdaq Verafin said in a Thursday (Aug. 27) press release emailed to PYMNTS.
The partnership will add Q6 Cyber’s dark web fraud intelligence to Nasdaq Verafin’s consortium data insights, making both resources available to financial institutions in Nasdaq Verafin’s fraud and anti-money laundering platform, according to the release.
Q6 Cyber’s dark web fraud intelligence identifies compromised checks, payment cards, online banking credentials and other fraud threats, while Nasdaq Verafin’s consortium data network includes more than 2,800 financial institutions and 850 million counterparties, per the release.

The combination enabled by the new partnership will provide financial institutions with a more comprehensive view of emerging threats and enable them to undertake more informed fraud prevention efforts, the release said.
“By integrating Q6 Cyber’s capabilities directly into Nasdaq Verafin, we are giving our clients the ability to identify fraud threats before the first fraudulent transaction is ever attempted,” Colin Parsons, head of fraud product strategy at Nasdaq Verafin, said in the release. “This kind of proactive protection is what banks and credit unions need to stay ahead in a threat environment that’s evolving faster than traditional defenses can keep up.”
Q6 Cyber CEO Eli Dominitz said in the release that Q6 Cyber has been building its network of proprietary sources inside the dark web for 10 years.
“With first-hand access, every piece of intelligence we deliver is a confirmed compromise or threat rather than an exposure score,” Dominitz said. “Bringing that into Nasdaq Verafin puts it in front of the fraud fighters who can act on it days or weeks before the fraud event even occurs.”
Q6 Cyber announced last September that it received a strategic growth investment from Charlesbank Capital Partners to add to its product suite, expand its commercial and geographic presence and pursue strategic acquisitions to broaden its capabilities.
Darren Battistoni, managing director at Charlesbank and co-head of its Technology Opportunities team, said at the time in a press release: “For many leading financial institutions, Q6 has become mission-critical, providing invaluable fraud and cyber-threat intelligence.”
In another, separate move, Nasdaq Verafin announced in July that it is expanding its Agentic AI Workforce with new fraud and anti-money laundering analysts that automate investigative work across ACH activity and cash structuring alerts.
