Pivotal acquires North West firm LR Finance

Pivotal has acquired LR Finance, a mortgage and protection firm based in Wigan.

This latest acquisition marks the consolidation business’ aim to grow its mortgage and protection advice offering through a buy-and-build strategy.

LR Finance was established in 1996 and is led by its managing director Elanor Hill, supported by an existing adviser and admin team. It has built a large client bank and has a strong local reputation, Pivotal said, making it an “excellent fit” for the group.

Pivotal has acquired 26 firms since its launch in 2021.

Hill said: “Joining Pivotal is a natural next step for LR Finance. Their long-term mindset and respect for entrepreneurial leadership were key factors for us, and I’m looking forward to continuing to lead the team with the backing of a wider group.

“Being part of Pivotal gives our advisers and clients access to greater scale and support, while allowing us to keep the personal service and local relationships that have always set LR Finance apart.”

Mayank Prakash CBE, group chief executive of Pivotal, added: “LR Finance is exactly the kind of business our growth strategy is built on – high-quality and led by an entrepreneur who puts people first. The values upon which LR Finance has been built align with our own core values at Pivotal, and the team adds real strength to the group as we scale our national footprint.

“We remain firmly committed to our growth strategy and we are well-positioned to execute it at pace in the coming months and years.”
