HSBC’s higher-risk NBFI loans nearly double

HSBC’s Stage 2 and Stage 3 loans to non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) surged by $2 billion and $657 million in the first half of 2026, reaching $4.4 billion and $1.1 billion, respectively.
