It’s a question for the European Union’s top markets watchdog as it embarks on a radical plan to streamline three different reporting regimes.

In July, the European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) published a final report setting out its vision to simplify the bloc’s raft of regulations. By reducing their reporting burden, it aims to cut firms
