Lupin And Tenpoint Partner To Expand YUVEZZI In Europe
(RTTNews) – Lupin Limited (LUPIN) has entered into a strategic partnership with Tenpoint Therapeutics to commercialize YUVEZZI, the first and only once-daily dual-agent eye drop approved for presbyopia, across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland.
Presbyopia, a common age-related condition that reduces near-vision clarity, affects millions of adults worldwide. YUVEZZI, combining carbachol and brimonidine tartrate, offers a novel therapeutic option designed to improve patient outcomes and broaden access to differentiated eye care solutions.
Under the agreement, Lupin’s subsidiary VISUfarma will lead regulatory activities, marketing, and distribution in the licensed territories, while Tenpoint and Visus Therapeutics will be eligible for milestone payments and tiered royalties based on net sales.
Lupin CEO Vinita Gupta highlighted that the partnership strengthens the company’s specialty care strategy and expands its vision care franchise across Europe.
Tenpoint CEO Henric Bjarke emphasized the collaboration as a key step toward making YUVEZZI available to millions of patients and eye care professionals globally.
The addition of YUVEZZI enhances Lupin’s ophthalmology portfolio and underscores its commitment to advancing specialty care through innovative therapies that address unmet patient needs.
