Amfi announces initiatives to deepen mutual fund penetration | Finance News
The Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) announced a series of investor education initiatives on Friday, targeting women, first-time investors, smaller cities and underserved communities. It will conduct around 20 workshops across 10-12 cities to train 10,000 MF distributors on ethics, compliance and prevention of misselling. In partnership with Sa-Dhan, Amfi said it will hold 500 investor awareness programmes across five states, reaching 25,000 people and creating a network of 100 Nivesh Sakhis. It will also pilot the Bharat Nivesh Mela in five Tier-II and Tier-III cities and take financial awareness programmes to women through Pinkathon events across 52 cities.
