Amfi announces initiatives to deepen mutual fund penetration | Finance News


The Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) announced a series of investor educ­ation initiatives on Friday, targeting women, first-time investors, smaller cities and und­erserved communities. It will con­duct around 20 workshops across 10-12 cities to train 10,000 MF distributors on ethics, comp­liance and prevention of misselling. In partnership with Sa-Dhan, Amfi said it will hold 500 investor awareness programmes across five states, reaching 25,000 people and creating a network of 100 Nivesh Sakhis. It will also pilot the Bharat Nivesh Mela in five Tier-II and Tier-III cities and take financial awareness pro­grammes to women through Pinkathon events across 52 cities.

 
 


Gaja Capital IPO booked 31.33x on final day 


The initial public offering of Gaja Alternative Asset Management was subscribed 31.33 times on the last day of bidding on Friday. The ₹550 crore IPO received bids for 793.53 million  shares against 25.32 million shares on offer, according to NSE data. The public issue comprises a fresh issuance of equity shares aggregating up to ₹450 crore, and an offer for sale of shares worth up to ₹100 crore.

Atomberg files for IPO with ₹450 cr fresh issue 


Home appliances maker Atomberg Tech­n­ologies has filed preliminary papers with the Securities and Exchange Board (Sebi) of India for an initial public offering (IPO), incl­uding a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹450 crore. The IPO also comprises an offer for sale of 76.5 million equity shares, acc­ording to the draft red herring prospectus. The firm pla­ns to use fresh proceeds of ₹150 crore for brand awa­re­ness and perf­o­rm­ance mark­e­ting, ₹100 crore for inves­tments in research and dev­elopment and ₹90 crore to repay or prepay certain borrowings.
