Sun Life AI concierge fields 11,000 client conversations in its first month

Tan said cutting administrative work frees advisors to concentrate elsewhere.

“By helping advisors spend less time on administrative work, we’re enabling them to focus on the relationships that matter most,” she said in the same release.

The CIO Award win is Sun Life’s third consecutive one, the company said, pointing to it as evidence of momentum in scaling AI solutions for advisors, clients, and employees.

Sun Life also cited its founding membership in the AI Consortium and the launch of a proprietary agentic AI platform that helps technology architects make faster, more informed decisions.

Laura Money, executive vice-president and chief information and technology innovation officer at Sun Life, said the company sees AI as a way to make staff more effective while keeping “trust, accountability and human judgment at the centre,” in the company’s statement.
