AZB & Partners and TriLegal led Asia-Pacific M&A legal adviser rankings in H1 2026

GlobalData has placed AZB & Partners first among legal advisers for Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions in the first half of 2026 by deal value, while TriLegal led by deal count. 

Using its Financial Deals Database, the data provider said AZB & Partners worked on transactions worth $18.7bn. TriLegal was the busiest adviser by volume, with 36 deals.

In the value ranking, White & Case was second with $11.8bn in advised deals. Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas took third place with $10.8bn, followed by TriLegal on $9.4bn and Latham & Watkins on $9.3bn. 

For number of deals, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas was second with 31 transactions.  

AZB & Partners came next with 23, while Latham & Watkins recorded 14 and Baker McKenzie stood with 11. 

GlobalData lead analyst Aurojyoti Bose commented: “TriLegal was the top adviser by volume and retained its leadership by this metric in H1 2026 as well. Meanwhile, AZB & Partners’ ranking by value improved from sixth position to the top position, as there was a massive jump in the total value of deals advised by it due to its involvement in some big-ticket deals.  

“During H1 2026, AZB & Partners advised on three billion-dollar deals* that also included a mega deal valued more than $10bn.” 

GlobalData’s league tables are based on the real-time tracking of thousands of company websites, advisory firm websites and other reliable sources available on the secondary domain.
