Further rate hikes announced by Halifax, TSB and BM Solutions – round-up


Major mortgage lenders have continued to reprice their offerings upwards, with Halifax, TSB and BM Solutions all announcing increases effective tomorrow, while HSBC’s rates increased today.

Halifax ups rates

Halifax has increased rates on a number of products for homemovers, first-time buyers, remortgage customers and existing borrowers looking to switch deals.

Within its homemover and first-time buyer range, selected two-, three- and five-year fixed rate mortgages have risen by up to 0.15 percentage points.

The lender has also increased selected two-, three- and five-year fixed rate remortgage products by up to 0.2 percentage points.

For existing customers completing a product transfer, selected two- and five-year fixed rate deals have increased by up to 0.1 percentage points.

TSB increases residential and BTL pricing

TSB has announced a series of rate rises across both its residential and buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage ranges.

In the residential sector, rates on three-year fixed house purchase and remortgage products have increased by up to 0.2 percentage points, while selected five-year fixed house purchase and remortgage products have risen by up to 0.15 percentage points.

The lender has also increased rates on five-year fixed affordable housing purchase products by up to 0.15 percentage points.

Across its BTL and portfolio BTL range, rates on two- and five-year fixed products up to 75% loan to value (LTV) for house purchase have risen by up to 0.2 percentage points.

Meanwhile, selected two- and five-year fixed remortgage products at 60-75% LTV have increased by 0.1 percentage points.

 

BM Solutions raises BTL rates

BM Solutions has increased rates across its personal ownership BTL and let-to-buy product ranges.

For purchase borrowers, selected two-, three- and five-year fixed rate products have risen by up to 0.1 percentage points.

The lender has also increased rates on selected two-, three- and five-year fixed rate remortgage products by up to 0.1 percentage points.

 

HSBC higher rates effective today

HSBC has increased rates across its product ranges.

It has increased the rate on its first-time buyer, maximum 95% LTV, five-year fixed fee saver product from 5.33% to 5.53% – a rise of 0.2 percentage points.

The bank has also raised its first-time buyer, maximum 60% LTV, five-year fixed high-value mortgage rate from 4.79% to 4.95%, an increase of 0.16 percentage points.

Meanwhile, the homemover energy-efficient home, maximum 95% LTV, five-year fixed fee saver rate has increased from 5.24% to 5.40%, also up by 0.16 percentage points.

In addition, HSBC has increased its first-time buyer, maximum 80% LTV, five-year fixed fee saver rate from 4.82% to 4.97%, an increase of 0.15 percentage points.
