Gold Rates Today In India, November 3, 2026: 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices Jump Despite MCX Bullion Crash; Prices In Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Other Cities
Gold rates in India surged for the second day in a row. On November 3, 2026, the 24-carat gold price climbed up to Rs 2,700 in 100 grams, while the 22-carat and 18-carat gold rates rallied by Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,000. This is despite MCX gold price crashing by 1% and spot gold struggling near 1-year low. The global bullion market reversed from their gains in the previous session as the US midterm election takes centre stage. For physical gold rates, the upcoming Dhanteras and Diwali festivals are stirring demand. As per the expert, investors should avoid chasing a rebound and make disciplinary buying for better growth in the gold market.

Gold Rates Performance: What Is Impacting?
As per Subburaj, the recovery follows a steep sell-off that pushed international gold to a one-year low and silver below $50 an ounce. Spot gold rebounded to $3,954.41 an ounce on Monday, while spot silver rose to $50.64. A sharp decline in oil prices eased some inflation concerns. A softer US dollar also supported bullion by making it less expensive for buyers using other currencies.
However, the recovery follows a steep sell-off that pushed international gold to a one-year low and silver below $50 an ounce. Spot gold rebounded to $3,954.41 an ounce on Monday, while spot silver rose to $50.64. A sharp decline in oil prices eased some inflation concerns. A softer US dollar also supported bullion by making it less expensive for buyers using other currencies.
Accordingly, to Indian investors, the expert said, the immediate question is whether the recovery can hold after the regular MCX session begins. Domestic prices will also respond to the rupee-dollar exchange rate and global bullion moves. Investors should avoid chasing a sharp rebound. Staggered buying and disciplined position sizing may help manage volatility while the market searches for direction.
At present, MCX gold price dropped by nearly Rs 1,200 to trade around Rs 1.39 lakh mark after reclaiming above Rs 1.40 lakh mark yesterday. Meanwhile, spot gold dropped by nearly 1% to struggle around $3,940 per ounce, erasing its previous session’s gains and recovery from 1-year low.
Gold has faced constant pressure this year as the conflict in the Middle East drove energy prices higher and fuelled inflation, prompting central banks to raise interest rates. A global selloff in technology and AI stocks also triggered widespread liquidations, adding further pressure on precious metals markets. Meanwhile, investors are closely watching the US midterm elections, as the Trump administration and Republican Party face growing political pressure over elevated energy costs, as per Trading Economics.
