DA Hike 2026 UP Government Employees: Latest update, expectations on dearness allowance announcement

With central government employees waiting for the July 2026 dearness allowance (DA) hike, Uttar Pradesh government employees are also anticipating a possible increase in DA.

The increase covers employees under the Himachal Pradesh Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2022, eligible All India Services officers and state government employees covered by UGC pay scales.

On October 17, Kerala increased DA and dearness relief (DR) by two percentage points, from 35% to 37%. The revised rates will be paid with the October 2026 salary, disbursed in November.

The hike primarily covers state government employees, teachers, full-time contingent employees and local government staff. It also includes state service pensioners, family pensioners and eligible ex-gratia pensioners and their families.

Following these recent hikes, state government employees in Uttar Pradesh are also anticipating a DA revision by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
