Tesla Roadster Launch Date, Prices In USA, India: Will Elon Musk’s Tesla’s Flying Car Lift Tesla, SpaceX Stocks On Wall Street?
The internet is going gaga over Elon Musk’s latest Tesla reveal, a flying car to be precise. Called the Roadster, Tesla vows that it is a car beyond any production. Tesla claimed they created a vehicle that is capable of keeping a rocket in a car. But can the Tesla Roadster lift its parent, Tesla, and SpaceX shares on Wall Street?

The world was not prepared when Elon Musk said, “Turns out the future does have flying cars.” He teased us all with a small few-second clip, showcasing an ano-white painted new Tesla car called Roadster, which takes a lift a few feet above the ground and flips 360 degrees in the air. In simple words, the new Tesla car is flying!
Even Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai joined the hype, complimenting Musk over the new Roadster launch. Pichai said, “The FSD version of this will be something 🙂 congrats!” He wasn’t alone; the internet cannot stop gushing about the car. The excitement is high!

What’s special about the Tesla Roadster? Apart from the fact that it is flying. It is out of the world! Tesla on its website said, “We already put Roadster in a rocket. Now we put a rocket in Roadster. We created a vehicle capable of next-level performance. Additional SpaceX components can transform that road performance into a truly revolutionary experience.”
The company revealed the car in a live stream on October 15. As per Tesla, the Ano White glossy sleek colour with tinted black roof is inspired by aerospace techniques that provide UV and cryogenic protection when exposed to the harshness of space, plus electrostatic dissipation and corrosion resistance to protect rockets during pre-launch and recovery.
The interior is accented with grey microsuede detailing. Seats feature microsuede bolsters for added grip. The yoke is designed specifically for steering by wire. A centre touchscreen supported by two smaller forward displays provides critical driving info.
Further, the manual controls and a fixed seat position help reduce overall vehicle mass. With lightweight, high-strength materials throughout, including magnesium, titanium and carbon fibre, the Roadster responds to driver inputs almost instantly during extra-dimensional driving.
How is the Roadster flying? As per Tesla, the Roadster is equipped with a multi-mode fan and ground-sealing system as a downforce generator, pulling air out from beneath the vehicle.  This provides enough suction to hold the vehicle upside down, even when stationary. Powered fans and active wings maximise traction and cornering speeds in all conditions, achieving massive downforce at zero speed. A next-gen steer-by-wire system offers incredible feedback in various road conditions. Activate Track Mode to lower the car and transform the suspension. High downforce or low drag modes can then be used as needed on the track.
Also, the car has SpaceX thrusters. Tesla said it has advanced cold-gas thrusters that use all-electric actuators to offer precise thrust, completing micro-adjustments within a fraction of a second. This helps stabilise the vehicle in flight.

Will Roadster Lift Tesla, SpaceX Shares?
Tesla, SpaceX Stock Price
In the pre-market of October 16, Tesla stocks zoomed nearly 3% to trade around $372.99. While SpaceX is marginally down to trade by $148.48 apiece.
Both Tesla and SpaceX closed down by 1-2.4% yesterday.
According to Vested’s note, Tesla is also back in focus after unveiling the new Roadster, which uses SpaceX-developed thrusters and demonstrated limited flight capabilities. The launch of which seems unlikely and may not materially change Tesla’s near-term financials, but it reinforces how closely Tesla and SpaceX are beginning to overlap technologically. That has also revived merger speculation.
The note added that Barclays has argued that a Tesla-SpaceX combination is increasingly becoming a consensus expectation among investors, potentially combining Tesla’s physical AI businesses such as robotaxis and Optimus with SpaceX’s AI, infrastructure and semiconductor ambitions. For now, however, this remains speculation rather than a confirmed transaction.
Tesla Roadster Launch Date:
The flying car is likely to land in 2028. The car was first revealed in November 2017 and was expected to begin deliveries in 2020. However, due to several delays, Roadster missed its initial schedule until October 15, 2026. The car is not entirely launched and is just a demo. Reuters reported that the production is expected in 2028.
As of now, whether the Tesla Roadster will be launched in India is not revealed.
