CFOs On the Move: Week ending Oct. 16
Mark Long | Super Micro Computer
Super Micro Computer appointed Mark Long as the AI server maker’s new senior vice president and chief financial officer. Long’s earlier roles include co-founder and partner of investment firm Prime Impact Capital, senior adviser of McKinsey & Company and CFO and chief strategy officer of Western Digital. Long succeeds David Weigand, who has been CFO since February 2021. In December 2024, Super Micro said it would search for a new CFO as part of recommendations from an independent special committee that reviewed its accounting practices. The committee was formed after EY abruptly resigned as Super Micro’s auditor, saying it questioned whether the firm was “committed to integrity and ethical values.” The final investigation findings noted there was no management misconduct, but there were “lapses” regarding rehiring former employees who previously resigned after a 2017 audit committee investigation.
Jeff Schrader | Sierra Space
Jeff Schrader, CFO of Sierra Space, has left the spacecraft maker to pursue a new professional opportunity, according to Bloomberg reporting. Schrader joined the company in March as chief strategy officer from Lockheed Martin Space, and took over as Sierra Space’s chief financial officer in June. Schrader started his career as a U.S. Air Force financial analyst, advancing to CFO for special programs and later the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office. Schrader’s departure brings questions about the timing of Sierra Space’s long-awaited IPO, which the company has been discussing since 2024.
Joseph Sesin | Denver Broncos
Joseph Sesin was named finance chief of the Denver Broncos. Sesin joins the NFL team from Angel City Football Club of the National Women’s Soccer League, where he was most recently senior vice president of finance and accounting. Before that, he was senior vice president of accounting and finance for SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater and Hollywood Park in Los Angeles. He started his career at J.P. Morgan, where he worked for over eight years, most recently as vice president. Sesin succeeds longtime CFO Justin Webster, who left in August. Webster joined the organization in 2010 and took over as chief financial officer in 2013.
Anne Giviskos | MoonPay
Anne Giviskos was appointed finance chief of MoonPay, a global financial technology firm that provides payment and trading infrastructure for digital assets. Giviskos was most recently interim CFO and chief accounting officer at business travel and expense platform Navan. Earlier roles include chief risk and compliance officer at Euronext and director of finance at the New York Stock Exchange.
Nick Scott | Schuh
Genesco-owned Schuh’s finance chief, David Gillan-Reid, is stepping down. Gillan-Reid has worked at the U.K. footwear retailer since 1998 and has been chief financial officer since December 2023, according to his LinkedIn page. Nick Scott was hired as Gillan-Reid’s replacement, effective Nov. 2. Scott most recently worked at Footasylum, where he was chief financial officer for three years. He was earlier chief operating financial officer at Baird Group, portfolio finance director and CFO of The FD Centre Limited and chief financial officer of Adams Foods, now known as Ornua Foods.
Nick Townsend | Continental Battery Systems
Nick Townsend was named chief financial officer of Continental Battery Systems, a North American distributor of aftermarket batteries. Townsend joins the company from KMM, a telecom infrastructure and logistics company, where he was CFO for over two years. Before that, he was vice president of finance at lead battery recycler Ecobat. He earlier held several finance leadership roles at GE and Chevron.
Ian Winkler | Firstup
Firstup, an employee communications platform firm, hired Ian Winkler as finance chief. Winkler joins the company from Medable, an AI-driven life sciences technology company, where he has been senior vice president of finance since September 2025. He earlier spent over eight years at Google, where he was most recently head of FP&A for Google One, the company’s subscription cloud storage service. He earlier led financial planning for Google’s legal and trust and safety teams.
