Aspen Gay Ski Week Celebrates 50-Year Heritage with “Bom Dia Presents The Sparkling Summit” — A Historic $50,000 Mystery Quest
ASPEN, Colo., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In celebration of five decades of mountain pride, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and winter sports, Aspen Gay Ski Week (AGSW) has announced The Sparkling Summit | The $50k History Mystery Quest, presented by Bom Dia. The interactive four-day historical scavenger hunt will give participants a chance to test their knowledge of AGSW’s trailblazing history for a shot at winning a $50,000 grand prize live on stage thanks to Bom Dia.
Created in part with historical facts from the Aspen Historical Society, the contest delves into five decades of LGBTQ+ history and civil rights milestones in the Aspen valley.
How “The Sparkling Summit” Works
- Daily Clue Drops: Beginning Monday, January 18, 2027, at 8:00 AM MST, a new history clue will drop daily through Thursday, January 21. Clues will be posted online at gayskiweek.com/bomdia.
- Souvenir Game Deck: AGSW 2027 ticket and pass holders will receive a complimentary souvenir deck of cards containing game rules and instructions. Non-ticket holders can obtain a deck by visiting the AGSW Hospitality Suite at the Aspen Limelight Hotel and making a donation to AspenOUT.
- The Final Rush: Starting Thursday, January 21, at 3:00 PM MST, participants will submit their answers at the Limelight Hotel in Aspen. The first three contestants to turn in correct answers to all four daily clues will qualify as finalists.
- The $50,000 Stage Finale: On Friday, January 22, 2027, the three finalists will take the stage during the world-famous Downhill Costume Contest. Each finalist will select from 50 commingled envelopes for a 1-in-50 chance to draw the $50,000 envelope live in front of hundreds of attendees.

The contest is open to all AGSW participants aged 18 and older. The $50,000 Grand Prize is made possible by Bom Dia. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
