MAS Markets appoints Simon Naish as Head of APAC
MAS Markets has appointed Simon Naish as Head of APAC. The company says the hire is part of its strategy to establish a regional footprint in Asia-Pacific; Naish took up the role in October 2026.
According to the company, Naish will lead the development and execution of its strategic vision across the region, working with MAS Group’s senior leadership. His remit covers market penetration, team building and positioning MAS Markets as an institutional liquidity partner for regional brokers, hedge funds, family offices and professional trading firms.
Naish was most recently Country Head at ATFX Global, where he oversaw market operations and growth across Australia. Before that he spent 33 years at National Australia Bank (NAB), working across foreign exchange trading, institutional sales and business development, according to the release.
Simon Blackledge, CEO and Founder of MAS Markets, said: “Simon’s appointment to lead our APAC operations is a game-changer for MAS Markets. His deep expertise in institutional trading, his track record of building and scaling successful financial services operations across the region, and his strategic mindset align perfectly with our vision to become the go-to liquidity provider in Asia-Pacific. We’re delighted to have him leading this critical phase of our regional expansion.”
Naish said: “MAS Markets has earned credibility in the global institutional space, and there’s a genuine appetite in APAC for what we’re offering. I’m committed to building the operational foundations and strategic partnerships needed to capture that opportunity and support the firm’s growth trajectory across the region.”
MAS Markets is part of MAS Group, which also operates digital asset liquidity provider MAS Digital and funds manager MAS Fund. The company says its infrastructure is hosted in the LD4 and TY3 data centres. The firm says the appointment forms part of a broader strategy to invest in regional leadership, technology infrastructure and partnerships in APAC.
