Hightower Signature Folds in $1B Michigan-based RIA
Hightower Signature Wealth, the branded W-2 RIA for Hightower Advisors, announced its sixth affiliate advisor addition with a deal to add Synergy Capital Solutions, a Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based RIA with $1 billion in assets under management.
The move brings Hightower Signature Wealth’s total AUM to $40 billion across more than 160 advisors and 35 locations nationwide. It has made four external acquisitions to date, and last January announced five partner firms had joined, not including Dallas-based affiliate Frontier Investment Management, which had seeded the new channel in October 2025.
The brand’s continued growth is fulfilling a goal that CEO Larry Restieri set when he launched the division about one year ago. In September, Restieri appointed the first president of the division, Jennifer Frazier, who had previously been a partner at Frontier.
“Synergy has built its practice around the idea that wealth should enable clients to live with greater purpose and confidence,” Frazier said in a statement. “This philosophy is one we share, and we are thrilled to build on our longstanding relationship as we formally welcome the Synergy team to HTSW.”
Synergy, which had been a Hightower partner since 2017, will bring 15 employees to Hightower Signature Wealth, including seven advisors.
The firm was co-founded by CEO and Chief Investment Officer Mark Burns, who said in a statement that the move will give Synergy a “stronger foundation to carry on the legacy we have created over the past 42 years.”
The firm also has offices in Naples, Fla., and Lebanon, Pa.
