LMS appoints Robinson as permanent CEO

LMS has appointed Ian Robinson as its permanent CEO.

Robinson had been serving as interim CEO since June, when former chief executive Nick Chadbourne stepped down. The appointment was confirmed by the firm’s board on 7 October.

Robinson is the longest serving director at LMS, having joined the conveyancing services provider in 2006 from Santander, then known as Abbey National.

Prior to taking on the interim CEO role, he served as chief operating officer, overseeing the recruitment and management of law firms and supporting conveyancing operations across more than 50 lenders.

Nick Hale, chief executive of Movera and an LMS shareholder, said Robinson emerged as the leading candidate following a comprehensive selection process.

He said: “Ian was the standout candidate following a thorough selection process, including an extensive external search. He has served LMS brilliantly for the past 20 years and since stepping up as interim CEO, he has demonstrated strong leadership, ensuring the business continues to deliver great outcomes for its partners and customers, and with a clear vision for the future.”

Commenting on his appointment, Robinson said LMS would continue to focus on developing its technology and transaction services.

He said the company was making progress with its Panel Link, Remortgage, Select and Confirmly platforms, which aim to improve the speed and security of property transactions.

Robinson added that the firm’s work on the National Property Transaction Network (NPTN) was helping to drive change in how property transactions are conducted across the sector.

Robinson (pictured) said: “While my role is now permanent, our focus at LMS remains the same. We have a solid business, a clear direction and plenty of opportunity ahead of us.

“I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues across LMS as we build on the progress we’ve made and support our customers and partners.”
