Air and Mortgage Brain partner to widen sourcing options for older borrowers
Later life lending platform Air has partnered with mortgage technology provider Mortgage Brain to connect their sourcing systems.
Under the arrangement, advisers using Mortgage Brain will be able to access Air’s sourcing platform as part of their research process.
Where a review of a client’s circumstances and objectives indicates that a specialist later life lending product may be appropriate, advisers can progress a recommendation or refer the case to a specialist partner.
The collaboration will also work in the other direction. Advisers using Air’s platform will be signposted to Mortgage Brain to assess mainstream mortgage products that may offer a suitable alternative to equity release, depending on factors such as affordability and the overall cost of borrowing.
The firms said the initiative is intended to create a more streamlined advice journey and support advisers in considering a broader range of lending solutions for older customers, regardless of where they enter the advice process.
The partnership brings together Mortgage Brain’s network of more than 15,000 advisers and over 100 lenders with Air’s membership base of more than 10,000 users.
