Nayax Partners With Allied for Gas Sales; Partner Tech’s Self Checkout for Gas Stations – Digital Transactions
The processor Nayax Ltd. said it has reached a distribution partnership with Allied Electronics Inc., allowing Nayax Fuel to offer its VPOS Media 5 outdoor payment technology to fueling stations throughout the U.S. market. The announcement comes as cards now account for 81% of pump transactions, up from 64% 10 years ago, according to the National Association of Convenience Stores.
Israel-based Nayax, an active payments provider in North America, is looking to its VPOS Media 5 technology as part of its pitch to the fuel market, much of which is associated with convenience stores. C-stores accounted for $450 billion in fuel sales last year, according to the National Association of Convenience Stores.
Nayax’s latest move in the petroleum business follows its acquisition in 2022 of On Track Innovations, a deal that included OTI’s PetroSmart unit. In 2024, the company acquired Roseman Engineering, a deal that brought further technology related to the gasoline market, including automated vehicle identification capabilities.

“Allied and Nayax share an important focus on making the forecourt work better for retailers,” says Eli Bar, general manager for Nayax Fuel. “Allied is one of the most respected names in US fuel retail, and our payment technology and solution give its customers a fuel-specific option.”
Bristol, Pa.-based Allied’s forecourt controller operates at what the company says amounts to “tens of thousands of locations” in the U.S.
Nayax’s latest move in gas-station sales follows an announcement last week by the processor Toast that it has launched Toast Fuel to process payments for convenience stores in-store and at the pump.

In related news, Partner Tech announced its AI-based self-checkout technology has been certified to be integrated with Verifone Commander, Verifone’s site controller and point-of-sale unit for convenience stores and gas stations. The development means the technology can be installed at more than 55,000 convenience and fuel locations, Partner Tech says. Based in Taiwan, the company maintains its Americas headquarters in Anaheim, Calif.
Partner Tech says the product is available immediately. “By combining Verifone’s Commander platform with Partner Tech’s AI-powered self-checkout technology, retailers can modernize the in-store experience while protecting profitability,” says James Hervey, executive vice president of petro at Verifone, in a statement
