COLORADO – U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) spotlighted multiple housing innovations and resources from the Rocky Mountain region during the sixth annual Innovative Housing Showcase, held September 22-24 on the National Mall. This year’s theme, “Made in America,” highlighted American ingenuity and innovative approaches to expanding housing affordability and homeownership.

“Across the Rocky Mountain region, communities are looking for unique ways to build more affordable housing units,” said Region VIII Administrator Tim Geitner. “I was encouraged to see how local companies are working to bring innovative solutions to the forefront while providing valuable employment opportunities for Americans across our region.”

HUD’s “Made in America” Showcase spotlighted American builders, manufacturers, and innovators’ modern technologies and creative housing solutions that are expanding housing supply, lowering construction costs, and putting affordable homeownership back in reach for hardworking Americans. The Showcase featured a variety of full-scale housing models including manufactured, 3D printed, and modular homes built by American companies from across the nation.
