TSB and Coventry make further rate increases – Mortgage Strategy

TSB and Coventry Building Society are increasing rates, while Accord is trimming some residential prices.

On Wednesday, TSB will increase selected residential product transfer rates by up to 20 basis points.

These include two and three year fixed products at up to 85% LTV.

Residential five-year fixed product transfer rates at up to 60% LTV will rise by 5bps, while buy-to-let five-year fixes at up to 60% LTV will increase by 10bps.

Within its additional borrowing range, residential two and three year fixed rates will rise by up to 20bps.

Five-year residential fixes at up to 60% LTV will increase by 5bps, while buy-to-let five-year fixes at up to 60% LTV will rise by 10bps.

Also on Wednesday, Coventry Building Society will increase all fixed residential rates for both new and existing borrowers, but it does not say by how much.

The lender will be raising all buy-to-let fixed rates for new and existing borrowers, apart from limited company products.

However, Accord is reducing residential new business rates tomorrow by 10bps.

Shawbrook says it is repricing buy-to-let, commercial and semi-commercial investment, commercial trading and structured real estate products tomorrow, but has not revealed any more detail.

Moneyfacts revealed today that the average five-year fixed rate has now hit 6% and the average two-year fixed rate is close behind.
